Dear Utah Democrats, I wanted to make sure you heard the announcement earlier today about the final vote tally and delegate allocation from last week's caucuses: Senator Bernie Sanders is officially the winner of the Utah Democratic Caucus. 81,611 Utah Democrats showed up to caucus, and the final vote tally showed 77.19% support for Bernie Sanders and 19.80% for Hillary Clinton. This means Bernie Sanderswill receive 29 of Utah's 37 delegates (78.4%), including support from our National Committeeman Wayne Holland and me. And Hillary Clinton will receive eight delegates (21.6%), including support from our Party Vice Chair Breanne Miller and National Committeewoman Patrice Arent.
I've shared several numbers with you in this email, but at the end of the day, the number that matters most to me is 81,611: the TOTAL number of Utah Democrats who cast votes at Caucus Night. We may each have supported a different candidate last week, but I'm thrilled at the energy and enthusiasm I felt from each of you. Let's channel that energy to make sure we unite behind our eventual nominee and our slate of Utah Democratic candidates up and down the ballot this November. We have a lot at stake in this election, and the only way to make a meaningful difference is to be united. Let's stand together.
Sincerely, Peter Corroon Chair Utah Democratic Party
